APPEAL TO MEMBERS

FOR VARIOUS REASONS AFFECTING OUR DAILY LIVES OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, IT HAS BECOME MORE & MORE NOTICABLE THAT THERE HAS BEEN A SERIOUS DECLINE IN DAILY ATTENDANCE AT THE PANEL, PARTICULARLY SINCE THINGS STARTED TO RETURN TO NORMAL AFTER COVID.

THIS IS SIMPLY AN APPEAL FOR MEMBERS IN PARTICULAR, IF IT IS POSSIBLE, TO PAY US A VISIT AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH, MORE IF YOU CAN, WE WOULD BE PLEASED TO SEE YOU.

THE WEEKLY FIXTURES PRODUCED BY THE FIXTURE SECRETARY REGULARLY INCLUDES MATCHES BETWEEN PLAYERS AT THE TOP OF THE GAME, BUT ONLY A HANDFUL TURN UP TO WATCH.

WHILST WE HAVE HAD PERIODS WHEN WE HAVE HAD TO SUSPEND THE MATCHES, THE COMMITTEE

HAVE WORKED VERY HARD TO KEEP THINGS GOING & ON A SOUND FINANCIAL BASIS, BUT THE REALITY IS SPECTATORS HAVE STILL NOT RETURNED TO THE PRE PANDEMIC NUMBERS.

THE TRUTH IS BOWLERS DON'T ENJOY PLAYING IN FRONT OF A HANDFUL OF SPECTATORS SO IF AT

ALL POSSIBLE A LITTLE MORE SUPPORT FROM THE MEMBERSHIP IN PARTICULAR WOULD GO A LONG WAY TOWARDS KEEPING THE FACILITY OPEN.

THE REALITY IS IF WE DON'T USE IT, WE WILL END UP LOSING IT
